Alpha Changelog - 9/23/26

Hi everyone, here are the latest round of changes on alpha.midjourney.com. Many of these came directly from your feedback in #alpha-ideas-and-bugs. Please keep it coming!

STYLE PREVIEWS We're experimenting with fast models in the interface. The Styles sidebar can now preview your current prompt across styles as you browse: flip on "Live previews" under the Styles tabs and scroll. Previews use your prompt text on its own, and clicking a style sends your prompt with that style.

DEFAULT PARAMETERS This one has been on the "up next" list twice, and it's finally here! Go to Settings → Advanced → Your defaults, or just click "Set current pills as default" to save what's in your prompt bar. Tell us how it feels.

CREATE FEED A big visual refresh. The feed is now full-width masonry, and prompts and buttons appear on hover instead of taking up space under every image. Videos play on hover again. There's a view menu on project feeds (select Grid or List), an in-place Organize mode, and Archive now opens your full library across all projects. If you generate images while on another page, a floating "Images ready" pill appears next to Create.

SEARCH & ARCHIVE Opening an image from Create or Archive and going back now keeps your search, results, and scroll position instead of dumping you at the top.

STYLES The Styles sidebar has new Profiles and Featured tabs, and styles get their own detail pages. Profile tiles now work like moodboard tiles: hover to preview in your prompt bar, click to add to your prompt.

EDITING Arrow keys move smoothly through your edit history. Failed reference uploads now tell you why they failed. The "Edit" label only shows on jobs that actually came from the editor. Helper tooltips in the lightbox. The editor now supports v8.1 and v8.2 edit types, and edit canvases can run in HD.

ORGANIZE New projects title themselves. You can delete a project by itself or with its images with an undo option in case you regret it. "Show all" now opens every top-level project.

PROMPT BAR & PILLS The weird slider is fixed: 50% now means 228, not 1500. Triple-click selects your whole prompt, pills included. Pasted prompts keep their image prompts instead of turning into edit references. Copy and Remove are back in profile and moodboard pill menus.

POLISH & BUGS Billing tabs no longer open blank when the portal is slow, and invoices open in the same tab if your browser blocks pop-ups. Sidebar panels no longer shove the page around. Lots of hover and scrolling performance improvements on the new feed.
